I am desired by the members of the Committee of this

Club to enquire whether His Majesty the King will be graciously

pleased to permit the use of the prefix "Royal" to the title

of the Club.

The Club was established in 1904 for the encouragement

of amateur boat and yacht sailing and is now in a very flour-

ishing condition, possessing over 200 members and having its

own Club-house a two storied brick and timber structure

NOW

slips, pier etc. The members own 36 cruising and racing yachts

and there are also a few motor boats.
